WE DID IT!!!!
It was a difficult and stressful weekend in Gravenhurst completing the OPP K9 certification test, but we passed!
On Saturday, we had obedience, agility and demonstration of hunt drive, followed by a 2km track. We had trouble
with the last 100m of the track in which we blew past the last corner. We worked it out and found our quarry under
the time limit. We finished off the day with our article search which was a piece of a t-shirt wrapped around three
golf balls and a dog collar. The scenario being a woman was out walking her dog, her dog got away from her and
she got lost looking for it.
Sunday was rainy and miserable for our area search; one victim to be found in a wilderness setting in which we
had to start by getting over an 8 foot frost fence. Zori nailed it and is now one of four dogs in all Ontario, certified to
search with the OPP...the only dog in Central Ontario.
YEAH!
